Frequently asked questions

Is an account required?

No. An accout is not required to use Areion Modules but is limited to 5 credits. To get more credits and use our apps and Areion Studio™, you can create an account.

Is the platform fully self-contained?

Yes. All analysis runs in the browser. Enter a URL or upload a file, receive your report, and re-run as needed—no API or third-party integrations required.

What configuration formats does Lint support?

Lint supports Most Static file formats like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, YAML, and more by default. Rules can be extended for custom schemas. See the documentation for the full list and custom rule configuration.

How does Shield identify vulnerabilities?

Shield cross-references dependencies against known CVE databases, analyzes HTTP headers and TLS configuration, and executes custom security rules. Reports include severity ratings and remediation guidance.

What does Crawl do?

Crawl scans your site for broken links, 404s, redirect chains, and slow or failing URLs that are faulty or not working as expected. Crawl gives a full report of all issues found and how to fix them.

Getting started

Areion is a platform designed to help you fix errors and improve your website and performance. To use Areion, create an account and choose your plan. Once your account is set up, you can open your dashboard to view credits, usage, and run analyses.

Select one of our modules (Lint, Shield, or Crawl), enter a URL or upload a file, and run your analysis. When the analysis is complete, view the report and address any issues found. You can fix errors in your own code editor or use the built-in editor in Areion Studio™.

Our modules

Areion provides three modules that work together or on their own.

Lint

Lint checks your code and configuration for errors and quality issues. It validates formats such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, YAML, and common environment files. Use Lint to catch configuration mistakes, enforce coding standards, and keep your codebase consistent before deployment.

Shield

Shield scans for security issues and vulnerabilities. It checks dependencies against known CVE databases, audits HTTP security headers and TLS configuration, and can run custom security rules. Reports include severity levels and remediation guidance so you can fix issues before they become incidents.

Crawl

Crawl discovers pages on your site and checks every link. You get a report of broken links, 404s, redirect chains, and slow or failing URLs. Use Crawl to keep your site healthy and ensure visitors never hit dead ends.

Acceptance of terms

Areion provides tools for code and configuration linting, security scanning, and link health checking. Access and features may vary by plan. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice where feasible.

Account and eligibility

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the service. Use of Areion for commercial purposes may require a paid plan.

Credits and subscriptions

Areion, including its name, branding, software, and content, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service in accordance with these terms. You retain ownership of data you submit; you grant us the rights necessary to provide the service (e.g., to process your URLs and files and generate reports).

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that Areion will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reports will be complete or accurate. Use of the service and any reports is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Areion. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms or for any other reason with notice where required by law.
